We are not having anything to boast except His cross for us. '.. though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. ' Phili 2:6-8
Jesus Christ - chosen us:
- John the Baptist said about Jesus, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"

- 'Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; ..' Isiah 53:4-7 He poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors..
- 'For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.' Coloss 1:19,20
- Victory comes through suffering, exaltation through humiliation, and ultimately, the kingdom through the Cross.
- Jesus suffered and died for us on the cross to fulfill the Father's will .
