- prayer- 3 times a day
- Prayer with faith
- Prayer with believers
- Daniel was a prayer worrier. He was very close to the Lord by spending more time with Him. He had a spot to commune with the Lord. He was so systematic in his prayer life. He kept his heart and body pure to please his Lord.
- Daniel’s prayer had more faith. In Daniel 6:23 ‘…Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.’ Jesus has said that if we ask anything with faith we will receive it. The lady who was sick for 12 years received the healing with her faith by touching the garment of Jesus. Jesus said, “Your faith has healed you, go in peace.” Luke 17:6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamore tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. Our faith should be whole. Complete trust in our Lord and Master. Luke18 Jesus healed the blind man by saying, ‘Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.’ And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God. How is our faith in our prayer life?
- Daniel prayed with his friends. Daniel 2:17, 18 ‘Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. Matthew 18:19, 20 ‘Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. We have to pray with same minded believers in unity.
Jesus is coming soon, are we ready to meet Him? II Peter 2:9-14 ‘The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,… Therefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.’ Our lives should be a) holy b) godly
c) Without spot d) blameless. We cannot live a life pleasing to the Lord by our own effort. By living a life closer to the Lord by prayer and learning His Word, our life will change. The Holy Spirit who dwells in us will help us.
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus please help us to live a holy, blameless life pleasing to you. Amen
Memory Verse:
I Peter 1:15, 16
‘உங்களை அழைத்தவர் பரிசுத்தராயிருக்கிறதுபோல, நீங்களும் உங்கள் நடக்கைகளெல்லாவற்றிலேயும் பரிசுத்தராயிருங்கள்.
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
நான் பரிசுத்தர், ஆகையால் நீங்களும் பரிசுத்தராயிருங்கள் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறதே.
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
