The King and His Kingdom - that Cross introduces -7th day in Lent

  • Jesus Christ Descends from royal line of David
He was the Son of David. Messiah was expected to come from David's line. Mathew's genealogy refers to him as a King from a royal line. Mt 9:27, Mt:12.23,Mt 15:22,            Luke 1:32,33, Luke 2:4, Luke 3:31.
  • He was born in Bethlehem, town of David.
Even the location of his birth proves that He is a King. John 7:42, Mathew 2:3-6, Micah 5:2, Luke 2:15,16.
  • Jesus Christ is Regarded as King.
Lots of people received the revelation of his kingship and called him king. My favorites one is Nathaniel - John 1:49. Nathaniel sees Jesus for the first time and calls him a King, what a blessing to receive such a revelation.

Magi - Mathew 2:1-2,
Crowd - John 6:15
Jason - Acts 17:7.
  • Jesus Christ entered Jerusalem as a King.
People recognized him as a king through his ministries, revelation was there, but acceptance of the revelation was the reason for King not being embraced by his own people. Mt 21:1-9, John 12:12-15.
  •  Kingship was stated as a Crime to be crucified.
The same crowd that recognized him as a king a week before now cried out to have him crucified. Jn 19: 19-22, Mt 27:37, Mr 15:26.

  • God the father exalted Christ to His rightful place, throne. Heb 1:3, 8:1, 12:2. Rev 5:6, 7:17, 22:1-3.

How does Cross reveal Him as a King to me. Mt 27:51, says "At that moment the curtain in the sactuary of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook , rocks split apart." - What does the torn veil signify? The rending of the veil signified that Christ, by his death, opened a way to God., the King of all kings. It not only opened the way for us to get in before his throne and enjoy his presence, anytime we want to, it also opened up a way for us to have a relationship with the King,a very special one, after all 'My heavenly father is the King', what a joy!!!

Be encouraged to dress, talk, walk, sit, stand, connect, relate, and carry an attitude of a royalty (not in an arrogant way but in a humble way, just like our Dad), through blood, yes, the perfect blood that was shed for us.

Memore Verse : Mathew 27:51 - "At that moment the curtain in the sactuary of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook , rocks split apart."
